Enterprise Integration
A large utility required design, upgrade and
integration of the company’s business systems and infrastructure,
enabling the corporation to open its markets to competition in the
deregulated industry segments of electric transmission, distribution
and customer service. An integrated solution valued at over
$45 million was planned, designed and implemented, expediting
decision making across new deregulated value chain delivering a
seamless solution 12% under budget in an accelerated timeframe (18
months).
The approach established a cross-functional
organization to perform custom applications development, integration
of purchased packages, legacy systems updates, upgrades to call
center infrastructure, implementation of new technology
infrastructures, and deployment of e-business capabilities.
Strategic partnerships were developed with key
third parties to leverage industry expertise, off–the-shelf
solutions, and services.
Data Management Framework
L5 Source developed a road map for a national
vertically integrated full service ad-agency. The client required
integrated view of their customers’ data, working with repeatable
processes in data standards, logical models, data warehousing
infrastructure, and business intelligence capabilities. These BI
capabilities would be accessible to both the client’s employees as
well as to their own customers through a secure connectivity
platform. L5 Source assisted the client in developing a detailed
RFP that would allow the company to select a vendor providing key
capabilities in a data management process and technology solution.
Architecture Blueprint
Developed a long range architecture blueprint for
a large national retail and wholesale company. The company was
in a turnaround situation and required a more flexible and
consistent way of making technology decisions and delivering IT
capabilities to internal as well as external stakeholders.
Our solution enabled the firm to integrate for
the first time, operating principles, business strategies,
applications portfolio, technology infrastructure and data
management into a strategic framework to maximize the return on
